Update request
[edit]Hello, Kwamikagami.
Can you update File:CousinMarriageWorld.svg? Tajikistan banned cousin marriage in July 2016 (Azerbaijan will ban cousin marriage in June 2025, when the law comes into effect). The legal age for marriage for females and males was also raised to 18 in Tajikistan, with no exceptions (the legal marriage will also be set at 18, with no exceptions in Azerbaijan in June 2025, when the law comes into effect). Can you also update Tajikistan (and later Azerbaijan) in en:Marriageable age

- Should Azer. be red then, 'Statute bans first-cousin marriage'? But it sounds sounds like Tajik should be azure, 'Allowed with restrictions or exceptions,' because there's no actual ban.
- For marriageable age, did you mean a second map? Kwamikagami (talk) 01:47, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply. When the law becomes effective in Azerbaijan in June 2025, that country needs to be colored in red. Tajikistan, as you pointed out, should be colored in azure.
- For the marriageable age, I meant updating Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the English Wikipedia article en:Marriageable age.
- If there is a map about the marriageable age in Wikimedia Commons, which I couldn't find, I would like Tajikistan and Azerbaijan to be updated there as well.

- updated both now, as the map is edited so rarely. will be current soon enough. Kwamikagami (talk) 07:38, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the updates. Moroike (talk) 11:48, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- See [1], Montenegro should also be red, Kosovo and Albania should also be red, also see [2]: “But, according to the latest constitution (of 2010) of The Orthodox Church of Cyprus, second cousins may marry as the restriction is placed up to relatives of the 5th degree.” Cyprus should ban marriages between the family members with degree of relationship <= 5, thus Cyprus should be red since first cousin has degree of relationship 4, also, the two dots of Hong Kong and Macau should be separated (just like the dots in Caribbean, and just like the file File:Countries driving on the left or right.svg), in the current file the dot of Hong Kong covers the dot of Macau. 61.229.98.244 08:53, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- You need to provide sources for all of them, so Kwamikagami can update them. Moroike (talk) 09:43, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- yeah, i don't see anything in those refs. Kwamikagami (talk) 19:50, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- The editor in [3] offered a reference: see [4], “First cousin marriage is also profibited in Montenegro - the color on the map should be red, as in the neighboring counties, not dark blue.”, so please change Montenegro to red (do not change other countries), also, the two dots of Hong Kong and Macau should be separated (just like the dots in Caribbean, and just like the file File:Countries driving on the left or right.svg), in the current file the dot of Hong Kong covers the dot of Macau. 218.187.68.126 01:09, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Update request
[edit]Hello, Kwamikagami.
Can you update File:Latin alphabet world distribution.svg by coloring all of Azerbaijan in green? After the collapse of the breakaway state of Nagorno-Karabakh and the flight of virtually all Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians, Armenian (which has its own distinct alphabet) is no longer spoken over a territory in Azerbaijan.

Update request
[edit]Hello, Kwamikagami.
Can you update File:Արցախի բարբառը.png by coloring the rest of Nagorno-Karabakh in light green and by coloring the borders of the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast in gray, to reflect the current situation? After 2023, the Karabakh dialect and the Armenian language are no longer spoken on the territory of Azerbaijan, because of the flight of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians and the collapse of the breakaway Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Republic of Artsakh). The light green color shows where it was once spoken vis-à-vis the dark green color which shows where it is currently spoken.
Can you also udate File:MAPArmenian.png, by removing Armenian from the territory of Azerbaijan, for the same reason?
Practically no Armenians have been left in Nagorno-Karabakh and their ethnic cleansing has been total.
Kindest regards, Moroike (talk) 16:52, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I can't easily edit PNG files without the original computer files. I can do a hack job, but it won't look good. I think this is better as a request for the map lab on WP-en, en:Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop, or someplace similar. Kwamikagami (talk) 21:05, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I understand. Thank you for the reply and the recommendation. Moroike (talk) 22:03, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Kwamikagami.
Can you remove the de facto Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh), as it ceased to exist in 2023, in File:Worldmap digital terrestrial television transition.svg and File:Decriminalization of homosexuality by country or territory (remastered).svg?
Kindest regards, Moroike (talk) 20:41, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- done. Kwamikagami (talk) 21:38, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Alicanto symbol
[edit]Your Alicanto symbol is very well done, but it looks like a fish, and Alicanto was named after a bird from Chilean mythology. Could you please create a symbol for Alicanto that looks more like a flying creature than a fish? 2001:8003:9822:7300:95A8:ECD5:4AE6:B9F2 03:27, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
